Getting session time out alerts after submitting the experience form in Sitecore 10.1.1

September 22, 2023 0

Problem Statement:
Following the submission of an experience form created using the Sitecore Forms application in Sitecore 10.1.1, you may encounter the following message:

"Your session has expired. Please refresh this page."

Note -Data is being saved in the database only issue with the alerts.

Solution:

After engaging in a discussion with Sitecore support, it has been identified that our current issue aligns with bug#479471 ("The Session is expired message is shown when you submit a form"), which has already been addressed in Sitecore Experience Platform 10.1.2. For more detailed information, please refer to the release notes available at https://dev.sitecore.net/Downloads/Sitecore%20Experience%20Platform/101/Sitecore%20Experience%20Platform%20101%20Update2/Release%20Notes.

To resolve this issue, I recommend applying the latest pre-release for Sitecore 10.1, as outlined in the following article (https://sitecore.service-now.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB1001300), or alternatively, consider upgrading to Sitecore Experience Platform 10.1.2 by following the Update Installation Guide.

Please note, You can just copy-paste content from "..delta.scwdp.zip" packages to the corresponding sites. Or you can use SIF to write script that will automatically deploy the necessary packages to the corresponding sites.

Setup issue with Sitecore 10.3 in Windows 11 development machine

August 17, 2023 0

I was doing  Sitecore 10.3 setup in my local development environment. And I encountered the bellow  issue while doing the setup-

Problem Statement 1:

Certificate chain was issued by an authority that is not trusted.

Solution:

After attempting to address the issue, I explored suggestions on Sitecore Stack Exchange (installation - Sitecore 9.3 Installing on Windows 11 returns "certificate chain was issued by an authority that is not trusted." error - Sitecore Stack Exchange). Implementing these suggestions proved effective in resolving the problem. The details are provided below:

The problem stemmed from the "sitecore-XP0.json" file. The root of the issue lay in the presence of InvokeSqlcmd statements within the file. To rectify this, it was necessary to include "TrustServerCertificate": true within those statements.

Furthermore, within SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), ensure to check the "Trust server certificate" checkbox.

Once all these steps have been successfully completed, you are ready to initiate the Sitecore 10.3 installation process.

Troubleshooting during XMCloud Setup

July 21, 2023 0

 I faced below issues during XMCloud  setup. You may face the same, please refer solutions.

Problem 1: Connection issue with GraphQL.

error - FetchError: request to https://edge.sitecorecloud.io/api/graphql/v1 failed, reason: connect ETIMEDOUT 2606:4700:91b3:c4eb:e83b:421:f8c7:3c32:443

    at process.processTicksAndRejections (node:internal/process/task_queues:82:21) {

  type: 'system',

  errno: 'ETIMEDOUT',

  code: 'ETIMEDOUT',

  page: '/en/_site_XMCloudDemo'

}

Solution:

Please try to run npm ci command on the Front-end app root directory. That resolved my initial problem. Initially I did npm install instead of npm ci.

Problem 2: CDP key issue

Solution:   As I am doing local setup and I don't need CDP, so I just disabled CDP from CdpPageView in the src\Scripts.tsx file as suggested in different blogs and YouTube videos.
